Diary #6 Danielle Dolen
I think it’s safe to say that everybody carries at least one memory from their last days of High School. Well I can surely say that I do. My Junior year in High School my family told me we were moving to the Tampa Bay area. I was sad to leave my friends behind and angry to start at a new school. However, soon enough the school year rolled around and I was the “new girl” at Eastbay High School. I was only there 18 weeks (not that I was counting) because I was an early graduate. I was there long enough to make a few friends and walk out those doors for good in December. Most of my peers found it odd that I didn’t participate in any of the infamous senior events like prom, football games, senior trips and so on. I was just simply ready to move on- and so I did.
March came along and so did the auditions for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders. I knew I had to be there. The tryout process was long and fun, and I met some fantastic girls. The entire experience was fulfilling. When my name was posted on the website as a Rookie for the TBBC I felt blessed and honored to represent a wonderful organization. Being a part of this prestigious group of amazing girls has completely made up for my Senior year. The same night Eastbay High School students had their prom I was hanging out with 20 cheerleaders. Both my family and I have been very excited. I am looking forward to a great year and I have already made countless memories and friendships. So I guess this means that in 10 years from now if someone asks me if I was a cheerleader in high school, I can honestly say that I was.
