The X man. X-plosive.
X-tra ordinary. X-rated.
X-cellence.
All this he was and more at Nationals III. He was the only baller
at the tourney to have his own theme song by Snoop Dog being played
during his pregame rituals.
After winning the
BFL title last season, X arrived at Nationals III with huge expectations.
And for the most part he fulfilled them. A decent showing at Nationals
II got X some recognition, but his BFL crown placed him on the nationals
map. Nationals III was going to be his showcase. And as the early
rounds came to a close, it looked as though both the BFL's X and
DC, would secure a final four berth. But both ballers were railroaded
in the quarters. Nevertheless,
for a league to put two ballers in the final four is quite an accomplishment.
X's 2002 BFL season
was not as successful as his 2001 campaign. He exited the playoffs
in the first round, and was seeded fourth in his conference.
But that may not
be indicative of the type off balling X will bring to Nationals
IV. In a competitive league such as the BFL, a number four can beat
some #1's in most leagues. Even he had a season somewhat subpar
compared to last season, this guy is not one to sleep on come Nationals.
