Marquee Baller Q & A
w/3rd & Long. special correspondent to the MWS/

Today we sit down with a wiley veteran of the Madden community the Candyman. He is the winner of the 2nd nationals held in DC. This is nationals number 3 for Candy in Miami. He is a top contender to win any tourney he plays in. He is currently the top money winner in the monthly King of the Couch tourney in Texas. He knows how to compete at the highest level and has beaten some of the best in the. Candyman is a very tough tough player who I think will be playing on Sunday in Miami. They call him Candy because his game is sweet.

BFL Insider: This is your 3rd nationals and the Swammi has you as one of the favorites to win it all your thoughts?

CandyMan: Yeah I saw that elite group that he put me with, as a favorite. I recently played against alot of the top ballers and did not fair to good in Vegas lost in the final 32 to the Untouchable, but I have something to prove in Miami.

BFL Insider: It seems you have changed or have mellowed some, with your recent posts what gives?

Candyman: People are seeing the kinder gentler Candyman I guess I have changed with age. I am still competitive as ever just a little more mellow.

BFL Insider: Talk to us about the King of the Couch and the ballers there.

Candyman: We have a monthly tourney that is held in Texas and OK, we have some very good ballers who play in the monthly tourney. Murda, he has over 900 games online. Wayne Walton is very tough, in fact Q-Boy who won the OCS championship has never made it to the final 4 in the king of the couch, It's very competitive.

BFL Insider: Anyone who won nationals tourney I and II people say they did not play anybody your thoughts on this?

Candyman: Because so few people played in those 2 tourneys I can see that. I have been playing over ten years and you will still have good players at tourneys. With the few we had we still had top players at the tourney. Redza, DC, Wink, Solider, X and Jay Kearney were at those tourneys those are top ballers no matter how many other people show up.

BFL Insider: the last national game you played in was vs. Wallstreet and you lost tell us about that game.

Candyman: I think I cracked under the pressure of so many people rooting against me. He showed me some looks I had not seen before, however I did learn alot from that game.

BFL Insider: What is going on with the HFML the league you started?

Candyman: Che and I had a disagreement about the direction the league should go in and myself and Trapjaw moved on the KOTC. I do miss the league and the fellowship of the guys there in fact I stopped by during league play to see how many of them were doing.

BFL Insider: How do you feel about the things going on in the community, namely these big money tourneys

Candyman: I think it's good, only if we don't go over 10,000 and the tourneys build friendships.

BFL Insider: You have won a nationals tourney what do you think it takes to win it.

Candyman: You have to have a strong mental game, it's very tough to play under the lights of the nationals the pressure is tough it's very very mental at nationals.

BFL Insider: Over the years I have known you, you have a way of ticking people off perhaps a quirky sense of humor. What would say is the reason people have shown a dislike for you.

Candyman: I have a way of trying to get under a persons skin to gain some sort of advantage in the game. I regret the way I have acted towards people.

BFL Insider: Do you think people are taking this game way to serious?

Candyman: Yes I do, look at what people are doing online to get a good ranking and it gets you nothing. I mean when I won the nationals in DC. I won 400 dollars and missed my flight and had to pay to get home. My net was zero. However I had fun meeting the guys there.

BFL Insider: Any closing thoughts?

Candyman: Yes I will be online for the 1st time as CandyKOTC the other Candyman is not me but he has my name. If you are looking for a good straight game hit me up.

Thanks again Candy for you time, look forward to seeing you at Nationals 5.........
