The
PFL Prepares To Host Nationals V
It's been a long time coming, states The Swammi when referring
to Nationals finally coming to the birthplace of the Madden Community,
South Florida. After four years of taking the show on the road,
Nationals comes to Miami, Fl. the place Swammi wanted to have
Nationals I.
"The time wasn't right back then," stated Swammi. "Now
we I think the ballers are ready to travel just about anywhere
we have the tournament, that's just how powerful this network
and community has gotten."
The first Nationals was held in Atlanta in 1999 and was unofficially
hosted by the BFL. We say unofficially because they were not contacted
are expected to serve as a host, but that in turn is exactly what
they did. "The BFL showed us how important it is to have
a host league in a city. That was something we didn't know could
be a valuable asset at the time. Because of their hospitality
and leadership, they stepped up in a major way. That is why we
have host leagues at every nationals now. We simply could not
do it with out one."
Now as Nationals V approaches, The PFL, the very first league
to sponsor Nationals, and the very first Playstation league to
hit the world wide web, is ready to step up and help make this
Nationals the best ever.
"We are looking to take Nationals to another level, just
as each league prior to us has done in the past," states
MWS President and Nationals founder The Swammi.
"Swammi & I have been talking since Los Angeles making
sure we would be prepared for when the games would come to Miami
in July," stated PFL Commissioner Teddy B. "We feel
that The PFL is the world wide leader in setting the trends for
the Madden Community," The Swammi continued. "We were
first on the web, first to organize with a constitution and by-laws,
first to have an executive board, first to broadcast our championships
via LIVE webcast, and first to establish a true means of providing
a National Championship as well. Now we want to continue that
great leadership in the community by throwing the best Nationals
that we possibly can."
For starters, The Swammi has contracted the lavish Intercontinental
Hotel on Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami to serve as host. The
ballers will have an opportunity to enjoy the South Beach nightlife,
stay in a lavish hotel with all the amenities that they could
imagine. In addition, the first ever Nationals Golf Tournament,
sponsored by The PFL will be added to weekend events. A Nationals
Pre Tournament Party is slated for Friday night on South Beach
as well.
"I have listened to the ballers over the past four years
to see if we can address their needs each year. And I think we
will be close to, if not perfect giving them the total package
to get their Madden fix on, and to have a splendid trip as well.
