Miller
Tops Barton In First MWS Match Play
Vince "Fruitman"
Miller defeated Dell Barton in the first ever series of MWS
match play. Miller won the best of five series 3-1. The #9
ranked Barton faced off in Atlanta against 2001 winter BFL
champion and #23 ranked Miller. Barton fell behind early 2-0
after Miller won convincingly 48-7 and 35-7 in the first two
games. However Barton's Lions sneaked out a close one in game
3 topping Miller's Bronco's 28-27. The Fruitman then closed
out the series defeating Barton in game 4, 21-17. According
to match play rules, Miller will earn 12 points towards his
ranking, while Barton will lose 12. With the loss, Barton
drops three spots to #12, while Miller moves up to #20.
