Fins Ambush Raiders
Jay Fiedler made big plays for the Dolphins in the 28-0 blanking of the Raiders.

After somewhat of a controversial start, Womack and the Dolphins laid into A.B.'s Raiders, shitting out Barrow 28-0. The game was marred early because of a faulty game setting which caused the Barrow to play with the quick pass feature of the game activated. PFL Rules state that games played with the incorrect settings must be restarted if the setting is noted prior to the second half kickoff. Unfortunately for Womack he was up 14-0 and to start the game over could have resulted in a wasted opportunity to gain a much needed win.

Nevertheless, the PFL Executive Board mandated a restart and that the correct procedures be followed. The two ballers set off to settle it once again. And in the second game, Womack picked up where he left off.

The Fins defense stole the show, as they forced 5 turnovers and held the Raiders to a season low 68 yards total offense. Another key for the Dolphins; Keep Away. The Fins offense played keep away from the Raiders, racking up 16:33 t.o.p. to the Raiders 7:27.

The Fins have a make up game with the Rams later this week, then a date Sunday with the Steelers, and the Broncos. If the Fins win two of three, which is possible, Womack can do something he has never done since his time in the PFL; pull to .500 after the midway point in the season. With "The Mack" currently at 3-4, he has already surpassed his win total from last season. And if the Dolphins can somehow get to 5-5, they increased their chances to make a run at the final playoff spot in the AFC.

Fins Off To Best Start Since '97
Not since its inaugural season has the PFL witnessed the Dolphins off to a 2-1 start, and at or near the top of its division. Womack's two wins have come in convincing style. In his first game vs. Zo's Colt's, The Mack fell behind early 21-0 late into the third quarter. But a combination of Womack's resilience and Zo's poor coaching lead to a Dolphin comeback. Womack won the game 23-21, scoring 23 unanswered points. Not a convincing score, but with the come back win of this magnitude, the Fins are making a statement.

His second win was an exhibition of total dominance. A 34-7 rout of Hines and the Titans. This is not the same Dolphin team that could at best muster a tie to Hines last season. And if the Fins would have been down last season 21-0, it was as good as lights out.

But not thus far this season. Womack still has a tough schedule ahead of him. There is Dallas and Oakland next week, followed by the Bucs and Rams. After the next two weeks the Dolphins were emerge as either contenders, or pretenders.
