| Steve Stewart loss to Ryan Collins in PFL Superbowl
VI, 45-42. |
Bears
On A Roll
The Bears got off to a slow start this season, playing inconsistent ball
while taking losses against very beatable teams. Recently, Stewart has
been able to turn his fortunes around.
Squillys
(as he is known to many in the 19399 camp) late playoff push is highlighted
by his current five game winning streak, placing him on top of the division
race.
The Bears currently have a 1.5 game lead on the Swammis Cowboys. Stewart
is also within reach of Tucker's Patriots who are currently two games
back with three games left on the schedule.
Stewart
controls his own fate for the rest of the season. By simply winning two
of his remaining three games, the Bears will secure a division championship.
Stewarts
remaining opponents include the struggling Dolphins, the unbeaten Steelers,
and their division rival Cowboys. Look for Stewart to have no trouble
with the Dolphins in game 1. In game 2, Stewart will need a miracle against
the Steelers. Pittsburgh is running on all cylinders right now and Stewart
will need the game of a lifetime to beat Coach Conyers.
The
final game for the Bears shapes up to be a classic showdown. The Bears
and Cowboys could potentially be tied prior to the final game of the year
facing off in a playoff-like atmosphere with the division title at stake.
Although the Cowboys took their initial contest in week 1, Stewart has
improved dramatically over the course of the season. Squillys newly found
running attack with the A-Train should prove to be too much for the Swammis
blitz packages.
BARTON'S PREDICTION:
Stewart will finish the season at 11-5, securing a division title and
a top playoff seeding in the process.
