Slip Into Old Ways
| |
 |
| Womack
is getting great play from his secondary. |
What happened????
Was it the SI Jinx??? In our mid-season report, we projected Tony
Womack to be a playoff contender in the conference. Womack even earned
a front page appearance on the PFL web site for his stunning start
to the season. Well since the, Womack has failed to win a single game
– an ugly 8 game losing streak.
Same ole Womack. Mr. Old School simply went back into his old ways,
running a very vanilla and predictable offensive scheme. Once the
league got a feel for his 2003 scheme, everyone in the arena knew
his game plan inside and out after watching him play his first few
games.
In order for Womack to get over the hump of respectability in the
league, he must expand his horizons and his playbook. During the remainder
of the season, Womack will need to attempt to diversify his scheme,
working on new offensive pass routes and defensive coverage schemes.
This will give him something to build upon in the off season.
BARTON'S PREDICTION:
Womack will have a hard time winning any of his last three games.
A late victory, however, will help lift Womack’s spirits for
the off-season. Maybe ’04 will prove to be the year that Womack
secures that elusive playoff appearance. Final record – 3-13.

Womack
has hit a wall since week 5 when he was 3-2 and fresh off
a huge victory over Kwan Drake. Since then he has lost 8
in a row. |
