Rolling, Eyeing Playoffs

The Swammi is off
to his best start since the 1997
season when he finished 14-2.
That season conjures up bittersweet memories for one of the three
original founders of the PFL. That year was supposed to be the year
The Swam got his title. The Cowboys raced out to an 8-0 record,
and finished winning 6 of its last 8, only losing to Kwan Drake
who played with the Carolina Panthers at the time, and The Creator,
back when he was in his first stint with the Rams. That year, Dallas
was the team to beat. After beating Teddy B's! Cincinnati Bengals
twice in the regular season, Brown upset The Swam in the NFC championship
game, thus denying Dallas a chance at the first ever PFL crown.
Now The Swammi is faced with a similar scenario this season. Sitting
at 10-2, Dallas needs to run the table to equal the marvel of four
years ago. To do that, he will need to defeat not only the 49ers,
but the Jaguars and the Jets
as well. Unless the Pokes have a complete brain fart, they should
dispense of Indianapolis, especially
after shutting out Zo's squad 38-0 earlier in the season. "Nothing
is guaranteed in this league," quipped The Swammi in the post
game press conference. "We must take it one game at a time,
and take no one lightly, and that includes Indianapolis." Say
what you want, Dallas is rolling, currently in the midst of an 8
game winning streak. After falling to Jacksonville in week 3 and
Carolina in week 4, the Pokes
have yet to look back. If Dallas wants to win the division title
however, they must take care of San Francisco and the Colts this
week. These will be tough games for Dallas. Wayne
Allen is The Swammi's scrimmage partner, thus, he is well equipped
to handle the Dallas gameplan. As for the Colts, anything can happen
in The PFL, just ask David Nunez
and Kwan Drake.

Time To Look Back
If Dallas is going
to move forward, they must forget about the past four PFL seasons
where they have exited the playoffs without the title. "I think
I am playing my best ball ever this year," stated The Swam,
chief organizer for the National
Madden Games. I'm looking forward to matching up with San Fran
and the Colts next week. It will be a test to see if we are ready
to take it to the next level. We cannot afford to lose a game, because
the Jags schedule is not as tough as ours, and we must stay tied
with them to at least have a chance to win the division. That's
where our sites are...winning the division, not making it in as
a wild card. We have already done that."
Dallas got some
much needed help from James Brooks
last week when he exploded on Hilton
49-14, dropping the Jags
to 9-2, and allowing the Cowboys to ease ahead a half game until
the Jag/Raider game is completed. Should the Jags and pokes win
both games this weekend, the battle for the Eastern division will
be on the last weekend of the season. Could you ask for anything
more?
