Rams Regain Control Of West
Wayne Allen made a nice run to stay atop the NFC West until two
miscues allowed the Rams to not only get back in the hunt for
the division crown, but regain control of the division. Allen
was all set to go to 8-2, two games up on Gresham, until Tennessee
foiled those plans, upsetting the Niners 24-17. Last week the
Niners fell to the Bucs 19-6. In the meantime, The Creator has
cruised back into first place in the West with two wins over Oakland
and Indianapolis. This puts St. Louis in great shape with a Denver,
Tennessee, and the NY Jets Remaining on the schedule, before the
season finale vs. San Francisco. If The Creator wins out, he could
be looking at 12-4 mark, and more than likely another division
championship. Gresham lambasted Taylor's Jets earlier in the season,
and he also defeated the 49ers convincingly. Allen must finish
with Dallas, Oakland, Green Bay and then the Rams. All four teams
he has struggled with in the past. This puts The Creator in great
shape, controlling his own destiny. However, this looked like
the same position Wayne Allen was in a couple of weeks ago, an
unexpected loss to Tennessee tipped the apple cart. Likewise,
Gresham must not allow complacency to set in, for that could have
the same effect on him as witnessed by the 49ers. Any slip ups
by the Rams, could breath life into the 49ers chance for a division
title, something Gresham doesn't want to see happen.
