4th Quarter Collapse Costly
| |
 |
| Dixon's defense has been inconsistent, good at times,
not as good at others.. |
Just
when it looked as thought Mike Dixon was ready to put the AFC West
away, the Denver Broncos ride into town and steal a win, preventing
the Chargers from placing a stronger grip on the division. With
iLocanostylze 26-0 loss last week to Joe Hilton, Dixon had a chance
to go to 9-3 and take a full three game lead on the Chiefs. Instead
he loses to a Denver team that is content with playing the spoiler
role for the remainder of the season. The Broncs, officially eliminated
from playoff contention made Dixon his second victim in his two
game winning streak.
Dixon
has Buffalo, K.C. and Seattle remaining on the schedule. Any more
slip ups, and the Chargers could end up watching the Chiefs, who
can still win the division, walk away with the AFC West Crown.
Swammi's
Mid Term Report Card
Mike
Dixon is holding his own with the Chargers. Dixon has been somewhat
of a surprise this season since he is new to the MWS. But he has
introduced himself in grand style with a crisp 7-3 records with
his only losses coming to K.C., New
England and St. Louis.
The Chargers still need to tighten up the defense somewhat averaging
22.9 PPG. In addition the offensive scoring production has come
down from the 30's early in the season to 24.4 PPG. Dixon has
the easiest road to winning the west between he and the Chiefs.
However, Dixon has a rematch vs. K.C., Buffalo,
and Seattle may
decide the division if the Chiefs can stay close to Dixon.
