This game was picked as The Swammi's game of the
week for this very reason. Despite being a 9 point underdog, this
game was the most intriguing on the schedule. The heavily favorite
504 Wil with the Cowboys vs. the underdog Powder with the low rated
Houston Texans. The Texans defense stymied Wil forcing 4 INTS and
holding the Cowboys allowing just 1 yard rushing. The second key for
Powder was controlling the clock. The Texans held the ball for 15
of the games 24 minutes, limiting Wil's chances to explode on offense.
Meanwhile for Powder, he used Carr to manage the game well. While
the rookie QB was a decent 9-21 for 198 yds., he had 2 td's and only
1 INT. But the story for Powder was the rushing offense. With James
Allen picking up 79 yards on 12 carries, the Texans rushed for 112
yards on the night.
