Sack Hunger In an effort to stock Tampa Bay area food banks, Raymond James joined forces with Budweiser, Checkers, Chrysler, Coca-Cola, Dodge, The Florida Dept. of Citrus, Jeep, Republic Bank, Tampa Tribune, TECO Energy, University Community Health, Verizon Wireless, Winn-Dixie and WFLA NewsChannel 8 to "Sack Hunger".
Twenty tons of food was collected from the participating Pewter Partners during this inagural "Sack Hunger" food drive and distributed back into the Tampa/St Petersburg/Clearwater community through local food banks.
This year's gameday food drive was held on Sunday, Nov 16th. Proceeds from the gameday food drive will be added to the food donated during the "Sack Hunger" drive.
Martin Gramatica Program - Kicking For Kids As part of the program, Raymond James donates $500 to a local children's hospital for each Martin Gramatica field goal made during regular season and post season Buccaneers' games.
During the 2002 season, Raymond James made donations to children's hospitals in St. Petersburg, Tampa and Orlando, FL as well as Baltimore, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Charlotte, New Orleans, Detroit, Chicago and San Diego.
The donation total since the inception of the Kicking for Kids program is now up to $54,750.
Tackle Math with the Bucs Program Raymond James Financial and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers join forces again with Hillsborough and Pinellas county math teachers to create "Tackle Math with the Bucs". This extensive program is designed to teach and reinforce the math skills of seventh grade students while providing an entertaining format for learning.
The program is scheduled to kick off again at the beginning of the 2003 school year in various schools throughout Hillsborough & Pinellas counties.
