When Wayne
Allen of The PFL stumbled upon the site maddentips.com,
little did he know that he was about to connect two powerful visionaries
that had the same ideals in mind for a national tournament, but
they had never met. It must have been divine intervention.
VG sports had been visiting Corradocardoso.info
and the Madden Forum
for several weeks looking for a way to break into the community.
Behold, Wayne Allen calls VG sports after purchasing the Virtual
Playbook. The
Virtual Playbook is a Madden strategy guide filled with an
assortment of tips and hints produced by VG. Once Allen mentioned
he was in the PFL, Burt Insley of VG Sports knew he had found
his contact. Allen mentioned that he not only knew The Swammi,
but was in the same league with and was one of the founding members
of the PFL. Allen also assured him that The Swammi was the guy
he needed to contact to break into the Madden Community. Insley
made the contact with The Swammi, and the discussions began.
What VG brings to the table for the
madden community is a strategical marketing approach that will
assist The Swammi in bringing the games to a new level. VG has
already committed to raising the stakes for the tournament winner
to $1500.00 and $750.00 for second prize. Nearly double the $800.00
and $400.00 that was offered last year.
While plans are being made to market
the game nation wide in other mediums besides the Internet, The
Swammi stated that he still intends to keep the tournament capped
at a manageable level. "We want to stay under 200,"
The Swammi stated. "I think 200 is a more than realistic
number that we can easily reach now that VG is on board."
VG boast over 500 subscribers to
their monthly newsletter. Expect each subscriber to hear about
Nationals IV. "I think the community will be excited about
some of the things we have in store," The Swammi stated.
"We can't discuss all the ideas at this time, because there
are still quite a few options to exercise. When we have things
solid, we will make the announcements. I feel really confident
that the community will be pleased with VG's addition to our family.
Nationals IV anticipation has been
brewing since July of 2001. With VG joining on with The Swammi
and The MWS, you can certainly look for this years games to the
best yet.......and certainly it will be a can't miss event.
