MIDWEST CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR MAY 29
Welcome to
the home of the MWS Midwest Championship! The Midwest Championship
is the second of a series of four tournaments designed to crown
a Madden champion in each region of the nation leading up to Nationals
VI in Miami, the National Championship of Madden Football.
Here you will get all of the details for the Midwest Championship
tournament including pre registration, host hotel, rules and much
more.
The MWS Midwest
Championship, sponsored exclusively by Gamecrazy
Video Stores, will be held at the stylish Romaine's
High Pockets Sports Bar, providing the ballers with an all
star Madden atmosphere and ambience, in addition to premium sports
viewing and outstanding cuisine. Ballers that pre register for
the Midwest Championship at a Gamecrazy store
will receive a $5.00 rebate good for one free
entry into the skills competition which will be held Friday evening
May 28, at the Midwest Championship host hotel the Milwaukee
Hilton. The Milwaukee Hilton provides the ballers with a luxury
hotel with all the amenities at an easily affordable rate. Be
sure to take advantage of the Hilton
Milwaukee Center's special MWS Championship rate of $99.00
per night. In addition, ballers may want to check out Paradise
Landing, an indoor water park located inside the host hotel.
Friday night's
skills competition will feature the two minute drill, a FG kicking
contest, in addition to a DB Swat drill competition and a running
back drill competition. Winners of the skills competition will
receive a trophy and will be automatically entered into a lottery
for a chance to win a limited edition Playstation 2.
While the
skill competition events will be held at the Hilton Friday night,
all of the hardcore tournament action begins Saturday morning
at Romaine's, located at 6125 S. 27th St., Milwaukee, WI. (Mapquest

at 9:00 AM Saturday, May 29. Survival Sunday begins at 10:00 AM

All participants are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to pre
register on the internet and take advantage of the EARLY
BIRD Special of $75.00 which includes priority scheduling.(Priority
scheduling is reserved for pre registered ballers, and will include
a detailed itinerary with a set schedule of game times)
Walk Up Registration: $100.00.
The tournament will start PROMPTLY at 9:00 AM. Paid participants
not at the tournament site 15 minutes after the start time of
their game will have their games forfeited, with no refunds available.
All walk up registrants will be placed in the later brackets (Twilight
Scheduling) at a time to be determined at the tournament site.
Walk up registrants are not eligible for priority scheduling.
The tournament will be governed by the official 2004 MWS Rules.

This is a two day event with round robin play on Saturday from
9:00 AM until and single elimination play on Sunday for those
that qualify. The top two ballers from each round robin group
will advance to Survivor Sunday. The field may be expanded at
the tournament director's discretion based on the number of tournament
entries. All participants are guaranteed three games. Seeding
for Survivor Sunday will based on RR performance (record) and
point differentials. Point differentials will be capped at 35.
Point differential tie break will be based on average defensive
points allowed in RR.
