Silencing Critics

| Dixon's defense has been inconsistent, good at times,
not as good at others.. |
After
reading all of the press about his late season demise, Mike Dixon
took matters into his own hands and finished out the season on a
positive not, defeating his final two opponents Nate
Diezy and Joe Hilton, clinching
an AFC wild card berth in the process. The bittersweet finish for
the Chargers came at a point in the season where Dixon knew that
his costly losses to K.C. and the upset loss to Denver
ended up costing him the division. Nevertheless, the Bolts now can
prep for the playoffs now that they have locked up the #5 seed.
Swammi's
Mid Term Report Card
Mike
Dixon is holding his own with the Chargers. Dixon has been somewhat
of a surprise this season since he is new to the MWS. But he has
introduced himself in grand style with a crisp 7-3 records with
his only losses coming to K.C., New
England and St. Louis.
The Chargers still need to tighten up the defense somewhat averaging
22.9 PPG. In addition the offensive scoring production has come
down from the 30's early in the season to 24.4 PPG. Dixon has
the easiest road to winning the west between he and the Chiefs.
However, Dixon has a rematch vs. K.C., Buffalo,
and Seattle may
decide the division if the Chiefs can stay close to Dixon.
Grade: B. (First-quarter: A-minus; Midseason: A-minus)

Dixon
finishes strong with wins over two solid teams in Buffalo
and Seattle. Now depending upon what happens in the other
two divisions, Dixon may have to face iLocanostylze again
for the 3rd time in the playoffs. |
