Back To Back?
  John B!
John B, defending Superbowl Champion.

2003 was perhaps John B's finest Madden season. He had a great BFL season where he advanced to the second round of the BFL playoffs, he advanced to the round of 32 in Vegas, and he posted his best Nationals record going 5-1 overall in Miami. He even made it to the BFL Online Superbowl to face HOVA. (The game has yet to be played) But the crown jewel for 'J.Beezy' was winning the PFL Online Championship over defending National Champion Ice Ellis.

You see John B's season what spectacular in itself. First he totally dominated the competition, rolling through the league post a 15-1 mark in the regular season. Then, after advancing to the PFL NFC Championship facing the legendary Jay Kearney, John B pulled off an amazing feat, coming from behind, down 21-7, to defeat Kearney and advance to PFL Superbowl I.

Now the question is, can he do it again. John B's doubters and critics are quick to say that his success was due to the Rams being an overall superior talented team, that in the hands of a skilled baller, anyone could have won with them.

While that may be true, John B proved last season, he was no one team fluke, as he played consistent in all of his tournament and online appearances throughout the season.

Don't forget this is the same John B that made it the OCS #2 championship game vs. fellow BFL member The Beast. 2003 was certainly a great year for J.B. and his Rams.

In the off season, J.B. decided to keep his Rams and return to St. Louis and defend his PFL Online crown. But are the Rams the same team in 2004 that we saw in 2003? How will that affect J.B.'s game plan?

The NFC West should prove just as tough as it was last season. Instead of Joe Hilton giving the champ a run for his money, it will be well respected KOTC veteran Chuggy in Seattle battling for the division crown. And don't count out Wayne Allen. While Allen did struggle through a 5-11 season, he was the lone blemish on John B's record, upsetting the previously unbeaten Rams in week 15.

Red Zone Money will be bringing up the rear with the woeful Cardinals. Nevertheless, no team in the NFC can afford to be looked past. However, this division appears to be J.B.'s for the taking. The real questions will have to be answered in the post season, where you can expect to see John B to have to go through the likes of another great baller in the playoffs, now that the Dominator has arrived in the PFL Online. That is, if plans of repeating as PFL Online Champion.

Look for J.B. to solid and consistent throughout the season. J.B.'s passion for the game, and his competitive spirit will take him to the playoffs. What happens then, remains to be seen.

3 Rams 0-0 Look for JB to win the NFC West and finish close to 13-3. While he won't dominate as he did last season, he is one of the teams to beat in the NFC.
