Official Rules
1.
The rules of the MWS Online Championship Series will be governed by the
Official MWS Nationals
IV 2002 Championship Handbook & The Official
Rules of The PFL Online.
Addendum:
a. Shotgun Motion Glitch: Exploitation of the Shotgun Motion glitch
is prohibited in tournament play. When lining up in a Shotgun formation,
if motion is used vs. a man defense where the corner back trails in
his man responsibility, the offense must allow the WR to set on the
opposite side of the formation before the ball can be snapped.
b. In the
event that this play is executed and the two players cannot mutually
agree on a satisfactory resolution to continue game play, the game must
be reset, with to the exact same game conditions including but not limited
to possession, score and field position and injuries whereby the game
may be completed.
2. Scheduling
Scheduling
for all tournament games will be done by the tournament director. The
tournament bracketing shall resemble a traditional single elimination
tournament. Tournament seeding will be done based on current MWS Top
100 rankings. Seeding will be at the discretion of the tournament director
and all seedings and pairings shall be final upon release. However,
in unique circumstances, only the tournament director reserves the right
to reassign pairings. Games will be scheduled on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday. The tournament director will provide a suggested scheduling
guide. The schedule should be adhered to when at all possible. Games
may not be rescheduled without the consent of the tournament director.
2. Entries
& Points Accumulation
Participants
may enter as many of the four (4) tourneys, however, only one entry
per single tournament is allowed. Anyone that enters into a tournament
under more than one profile shall be disqualified, and banned from all
future MWS sanctioned events. Points shall be awarded to those ballers
that advance to the sweet 16 and beyond in each tournament. For qualifying
for the sweet 16 a baller will be awarded 1 point. Qualifying for the
final 8 earns a baller 2 points. Final Four = 4 points. Runner Up =
8 points. Tournament winner 16 points. At the end of the points accumulation
period, all points will be added, and the top 32 in the points standings
will earn an automatic bid to the Super 32 Grand Championship Tournament.
Those 32 participants will play for the National Online Championship.
