Fox
Makes Statement
It wasn't
even close as the Packers lead wire to wire to topped the Chiefs
40-22. Dorsey Levens earned MVP honors rushing for 90 yards and
catching 13 for an additonal 79. The Chiefs further shot themselves
in the foot by throwing 3 interceptions. The Chiefs could not get
the offense going the entire game. It seemed as though Grbac was
throwing into coverage the entire night the way the Packer defense
was all over the Kansas City offense. Fox's offense was clicking
on all cylinders mixing his custom plays with double screens and
quick hits in the flats to the Green Bay wideouts. The Chiefs kept
it close in the first half going to halftime trailing 24-14. But
in the second half, Green Bay scored 16 unanswered points before
the Chiefs got the garbage touchdown.
"Wayne
Allen is next!" excalimed Fox after the landslide win. "I
want him to hear this, he is next." Fox will meet the 49ers
next week in the divisional playoff round.
