The Swammi finished
the 2001 campaign with another banner season. 14 wins 2 losses,
tying his personal best of 14-2 set in 1997. If it weren't for Ryan
Collins, The Swammi could have been making his second trip to the
superbowl. However, Collins proved to be an obstacle to wide for
The Swam to get by. Dallas lossed another NFC title game, denying
them a shot a the title once again. On paper, The Swammi's stats
are impressive. All time PFL winningest coach after five season
with 60 wins, two 14-2 seasons, a trip to the superbowl in 1999,three
divsion championships, and at least 10 wins in all five of his seasons.
BUT.......0 championship rings.
Off
To A Solid Start
The Swam got off
to a solid start shutting out both of his opponents in theng
two games. First he blanked The Creator 27-0, and then followed
that performance with a 38-0 pasting of Alex Smolka. Then Dallas
ran into a stone wall in weeks 3 & 4, first falling to Hilton's
Jaguars 35-14. The Ryan Collins shellacked him the following week
Dallas got some
much needed help from James Brooks
last week when he exploded on Hilton
49-14, dropping the Jags
to 9-2, and allowing the Cowboys to ease ahead a half game until
the Jag/Raider game is completed. Should the Jags and pokes win
both games this weekend, the battle for the Eastern division will
be on the last weekend of the season. Could you ask for anything
more?
