Raiders Have Best Shot At Playoffs
Although Barrow is sitting at 4-7 at this point in the season,
with a make up game vs. Jacksonville to be played later this week,
the silver and black may be the best bet for a playoff berth of
the teams dwelling in the AFC cellar. With Minnesota, St. Louis,
Detroit, San Francisco and Baltimore are virtual lock to get it,
one of the few questions still remaining is who the final 6th
team will be. Mathematically, Oakland, Green Bay, NY Jets, and
Washington are still alive. Of those four, the Raiders may have
the best chance to get in. The Raiders have remaining on their
schedule: Tennessee, San Francisco, Washington, and the NY Giants.
Each of those games are winnable for the Raiders. If Barrow falls
to the Jags, he can still come out with a 8-8 record which could
salvage an otherwise sup par season. Nevertheless, Green Bay must
face Minnesota, Carolina, Detroit, before closing with San Francisco.
Fox may not win another game this season. And if he does, he more
than likely won't finish higher than 6-10. The Jets face the Redskins
(who just crushed them last week), the Colts, Dallas, and the
Rams. The Redskins road is rather tough as well. Cook has to face
Jacksonville, , the Jets, Denver and they close with Oakland.
This put Barrow in the driver seat. A Wildcard berth would have
him facing more than likely, Dell Barton and the Lions, a team
he loss to earlier in the season. But...in the playoffs, anything
is possible.
