Bucs
Still Clinging To Glimmering Hope
Kwan
Drake has never experience this kind of frustration before in the
PFL. Drake, the 6th winningest coach in PFL history, is beleaguered
with set back after set back. Despite the fact that the Bucs have
posted an embarrassing 2-9 record,
Drake can still turn this nightmarish season into a dream come true,
with a few wins and a lot of help from some other teams. That would
mean the Bucs would need to run the table and finish 7-9, a feat
that isn't entirely impossible if you look at the Bucs record. The
Bucs close out with Tony Gray (twice), the Steelers, Dolphins, and
Titans. Plus the Bucs are 2-2 in their last four games, the best
streak they have enjoyed thus far. Drake's biggest problem has been
his inability to close out and win the close games. Two of the Bucs
most recent losses (Dallas, Jacksonville) were within 3 points.
If the Bucs could have turned the tide in those two games, whey
would be sitting at 4-7 instead, with a better shot at perhaps going
9-7. If Drake can rally and back into the playoffs at a 7-9, he
would be one of the most dangerous clubs in the AFC. Can you say
Creator 97? Gresham backed into the playoffs at 7-9 and ran the
table to his first PFL championship. For the Bucs....all they must
do is believe.
