Control Destiny

 |
| Tucker has mastered the stiff arm tactic and is effective
with Antwon Smith. |
Before last week’s
games, the Patriots were sitting pretty, tied for the lead in the
division. How quickly things can change within one week in the PFL.
With disappointing losses to both Stewart and Barton, Tucker’s
chances for a division crown have all but disappeared. In each game,
Tucker played well in the first half, but poor coaching decisions
in the second half of both games sealed his fate.
Despite going 0-2 last week, Tucker’s Patriots were still able
to secure a position in this year’s playoffs. Throughout his
rookie year, Tucker has proven that he is a solid player in the league.
During the season, Tucker has also become the "Entertainer of
the Year" in the PFL. Tucker’s knack for singing, rapping,
and dancing to every song played in Café Iguana before, during,
and after games earns him this title. If you saw Tucker, a 5’11’’
250 pound chocolate brother, performing the way he does in front of
the crowd in the PFL arena, you would have to agree that he is definitely
American Idol material.
Although he has a winning record on the season, Tucker has failed
to beat a top-tier veteran in the league. This factor may hurt Tavis
during his playoff run. In order for Tucker to be effective, he must
win out the remainder of his games in order to get a first round matchup
versus an opponent that he can handle. If this does not happen, look
for Tucker’s Patriots to make a quick exit from Super Bowl contention.
Tucker’s remaining three games are all against competition that
fighting for playoff positioning and are desperate for wins. The Cowboys,
Chargers, and Packers each cannot afford to lose to Tucker in the
upcoming weeks. Tucker must come to Café Iguana ready to play
in all of his remaining games, or he could be in jeopardy of riding
a five game losing streak into the playoffs.
BARTON'S PREDICTION:
Tucker’s remaining opponents are all very beatable…Look
for the Patriots to turn their recent slump around, finishing with
3 big wins and a 10-6 record.
