Brooks-Collins: Game Of The
Year
This Sunday may be the first time the majority of THE LEAGUE will
be pulling for a defending champion of The PFL.Usually in the
case of a Wayne Allen, or a
Kevin Fox, The
Creator and James Brooks, THE LEAGUE champion is vilified.
But this week when Brooks lines up against Ryan
Collins, most of the ballers in the PFL could be rooting for
Brooks to upset the vocal Collins. So far this season, Collins
hasn't shown very much respect to the ballers in the PFL. He has
made it clear that he only respects four or five ballers in THE
LEAGUE for having game. James Brooks is one them.
What will make
this a great game is Brooks ability to counter the fast break
style Collins plays. The two styles are in stark contrast of one
another. Brooks methodical approach works to his advantage as
Collins likes to get into a rhythm early, Collins also must respect
Brooks running game. Last week Brooks ran Robert Smith for 119
yards on 21 carries vs. Baltimore. The key to this game is how
well Carolina will defend the run and how well Brooks will adjust
to Collins attempting to shut down the run.
Brooks will
also be attempting to prevent Collins from breaking his all time
wins in a season record. Brooks 15 wins was the highest ever in
league history, Collins can top that only by going undefeated.
A task nearly everyone in the PFL would like to see him fail at.
