Fantastic Four Adds Unique Drama To Race

The Legend. The Stingy One. The Resilient One. Cinderella. All four ballers bring a story or some sort of history with them into their respective conference championship games. And those story lines makes this first PFL Online Championship race exciting.

Four ballers, from four different areas on the country. John B, south, Jay Kearney, northeast, T.O., west and Alex Penrod, the Midwest. And their styles of play is as wide apart as the distance they may live from each other.

The legend, Jay Kearney is as close to a legend as they come when it comes to online play. Kearney dominated the PC gaming world when it came to Madden, winning as many as 6 national/online league championships. There isn't a baller that played the PC game online that does not know the name of Jay Kearney. That's the kind of dominance Kearney held over the PC community.

In 1999 Kearney entered into the PS arena to test his skills. After not commanding the respect he once held in the PC arena, Kearney has since refocused and rededicated himself to regaining that form. Now with the PS2 going online this season, Kearney has seized the opportunity to regain his claim to fame, and perhaps his legendary status. After taking the lowly Detroit Lions and taking guiding them to a 14-2 record this season, Kearney feels as though he is primed to take the Lions to the promise land.

The Stingy One, John B, has simply played stellar defense all season with an offensive minded team. Sure everyone knows the Rams defense gets its propers, but when one considers the Rams, they are usually thought of for their offensive tenacity. But not with John B. Its been all about ball control and tough defense. John B has given up a meager 9.7 PPG all season, tops in the league. Now the toughest defense in the conference faces the most prolific offense in the conference. It makes for a most exciting matchup.

The Resilient One, T.O. started 0-2, then ran off a streak of 7 straight wins, going 12-2 since week two. What is even more impressive is that T.O. is doing it with the Bengals, one of the worst rated teams on the game. But that is what makes T.O. the outstanding baller he is. It's more of the scheme and not the team for the BAMA League native. T.O. was the only baller to rank in the top 5 in BOTH scoring offense and scoring defense. He brings a balanced attack on both sides of the ball that will make him hard to defeat.

And then there is Cinderella. Alex Penrod surely doesn't mind playing the role of Cinderella. His playoff run has been a thrilling roller coaster ride that included having to go to a one game playoff to break the Wildcard tie between he and Nate Diezy. Then he went on to defeat Ice Ellis in an upset. Then off to the next round to the do the same thing to top AFC seed Coach Canty and the Patriots. Canty like T.O. had lost his first two games of the season as well. But Canty, reeled off 14 wins in a row to finish 14-2 with the top seed in the AFC. Only to lose to the underdog Colts that barely made the playoffs. With two more wins, Penrod can make the ultimate dream a reality.

4 great ballers, that will no doubt, provide us with 2 excellent games. Which means that things could only get better as we approach PFL Online Superbowl I.
