Allen Finally Puts It Together
 |

Garcia:
Allen must limit the mistakes, and play great run defense.
|
After losing one close game after another for the past six weeks,
Wayne Allen finally put the total package together and finish
off an opponent in the closing moments of a big game. In his
game Monday vs. John B, Allen lead late and gave up a late TD
to the Rams. It seemed as though it would be another typical
Allen last minute loss. But the cagey PFL veteran dug down deep,
thanks to two deep bombs to Terrell Owens in the closing minutes
to tie the game and send it in to overtime. In the OT period,
Allen put it away, again going to his clutch receiver Terrell
Owens. Looking at the results of Allens games, the same pattern
occurred through the latter part of the season....last minute
losses. |

If Allen could
have played the entire season like he played vs. the Rams, he
would playing for a playoff spot, instead of just respect. 7
of Allen's 12 losses were by 7 pts. or less, with only 2 being
more than 10 pts. |
