Tournament Details
THE FOLLOWING PROMOTION IS INTENDED FOR VIEWING IN THE UNITED STATES
AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
1. ELIGIBILITY:
Battle For The Crown, (the "tournament") isto legal residents of
the United States, including Washington, D.C. who are 21 years or older
as of the date of entry. Void where prohibited. Entrants must have Internet
access on or prior to the date they enter the tournament to be eligible
to participate. Employees and the immediate families of employees of Invizable
Enterprises Inc. d/b/a the MWS/Corradocardoso.info, are not eligible to participate
in this tournament. From all eligible entries received, the winners will
be determined based on their ability to use their skill and knowledge
of John Madden football for PS2 Online to accumulate the most points during
the four (4) tournament period, plus the Grand Championship. (Point Accumulation
Period), as defined in Section 5 below, for the tournament.
2. HOW TO ENTER: Entries will be accepted beginning Thursday, November
14, 2002 at approximately 1:00 pm ET and ending on December 1, 2002 at
1:00 PM ET. Subsequent tournament entry dates shall be posted at least
two weeks before the entries are accepted. For purposes of these Official
Rules, all times are Eastern Time (ET). The Online Championship Series
shall close on Monday, March 17, 2002, at the conclusion of the four (4)
tournament championship series.
To enter the tournament, you must be a member of the MWS as a free agent
or a member of an MWS sanctioned league. If you are not a Free Agent Member
of the MWS, Registration for any Online Championship Series tournament
shall include MWS free agent membership. If you are not a member, you
can register by clicking on the link as indicated on the tournament entry
page and following the instructions. LIMIT: ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON,
PER TOURNAMENT.
It is the
sole responsibility of the entrant to notify Sponsor if his or her e-mail
address changes. To do so, click on the member services link at the bottom
of Corradocardoso.info home page. IEI, the MWS, and Corradocardoso.info, are not responsible
for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections,
miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone
transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions
or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic;
including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry
information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed,
delayed, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries. Entry materials/data
that have been tampered with or altered are void. The potential winner
may be required to provide IEI, the MWS, and Corradocardoso.info with proof that
the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address
associated with the winning entry.
3. GAMBLING PROHIBITION: This tournament may not be used in connection
with any form of gambling.
4. HOW TO PLAY: After registering, entrants can participate in
the tournament. The objective of The Online Championship Series is to
create a true National Champion. Participants should win or place high
in as many tourneys during the Point Accumulation Period. Points will
be awarded for the top eight (16) finishes in a tournament. The 32 participants
with the top scores will earn an automatic bid to the Super 32 Grand Championship
Tournament. Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie in the points accumulation,
any head to head matchups will break the tie. The second tie break will
be point differential margin in tournament play. Therefore, an entrant's
best scores over the entire Point Accumulation Period are totaled to determine
the entrant's overall rank. The maximum number of possible points allowed
in this tournament series
is 64 points. (See the chart below)

Entrants
who begin participation after the start of the Point Accumulation Period
has begun will not receive points for the week(s) they have missed.
5. WINNER SELECTION: There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner and
six (4) tournament winners. Winners will be chosen using the following
criteria:
Grand Prize: The Grand Prize will be awarded the winner of the Super 32
Grand Championship Tournament. Grand Prize (1): The entrant that wins
the Super 32 Tournament will receive a Grand Prize Winner Package. The
package will include a 5-day/4-night trip for the winner to Miami, FL
for the Nationals V Madden Championship. Trip will take place on or about
July 10, 2003 and includes round-trip coach air transportation for one
(1) from the commercial airport nearest winner's home, hotel accommodations,
(one room, standard double occupancy) at Doubletree Grand Hotel at Biscayne
Bay, free registration for the Nationals V tournament. Restrictions, conditions
and limitations apply.
Tournament winners: The entrant that wins any one of the four qualifying
tournaments will receive any one of the following:

ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE
OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.
Winner is
solely responsible for any and all expenses relative to participation
in Game (including acceptance of prize) not specified herein. Grand prize
travel subject to availability, holiday, blackout dates and other restrictions.
Trip must be completed on dates specified by Sponsor. If Grand Prize winner
is unavailable on trip dates, winner may be disqualified and the prize
forfeited. All travel dates and arrangements are subject to change and
availability. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel
vouchers, certificates, or prize items. In the event of noncompliance
with these requirements, winner may in IEI sole discretion be disqualified
and an alternate winner selected. The prize is awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT
WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation,
any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
All entries will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail
address.
8. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Sponsor reserves the right, in
its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, or suspend this tournament should
(a) bugs, unauthorized human intervention, fraud, technical failure or
other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness,
integrity or proper conduct of the tournament; or (b) earthquake, flood,
fire, storm or other natural disaster, act of God, labor controversy or
threat thereof, civil disturbance or commotion, disruption of the public
markets, war or armed conflict (whether or not officially declared). In
such an event, the participant that has accumulated the highest point
total (and who wins any pending tiebreakers) at the time of the termination,
will be awarded the Grand Prize. By participating, entrants release IEI,
MWS, and Corradocardoso.info employees, officers, directors and agents of any of
the above organizations from any and all liability for any injuries, losses,
or damages of any kind caused by participation in the tournament or the
acceptance, possession or use/misuse of a prize or participation in any
prize-related activities. In the event of any of the above circumstances,
refunds may be issued to those registered entrants that have paid but
not participated in at least one tournament event. No refunds will
be issued for missed games, forfeits, cancellations or any other reason
except those listed above i.e., Sponsor has canceled, terminated or suspend
this tournament.
9. CONDUCT: IEI/MWS reserves the right at its sole discretion to
disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry or competitive
process of this tournament or anyone found to be acting in violation of
the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive
manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
IEI/MWS reserves the right to lock out an entrant whose eligibility is
in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to
enter. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY
ALTER OR DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF
THIS TOURNAMENT IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH
AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, IEI/MWS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY
SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
