FOXBORO, Mass. (March 31, 2004) -- The New England
Patriots signed defensive tackle Keith
Traylor, filling a hole left by the departure of
Ted Washington.
Traylor, an unrestricted free agent, joined the Patriots after three
seasons with the Chicago Bears.
The 6-foot-2, 340-pound defender, entering his 13th NFL season, has
started 107 of 171 career games with 427 career tackles, including 13
sacks.
In early March, Washington agreed to a four-year contract with the
Raiders. He turned down a three-year offer from the Patriots to become a
free agent.
